ACSI MTB XC National Championship in Montorfano: race program, course, and event info

Ready for the assignment of the national jerseys

On Sunday, April 26, the town of Montorfano (Como) will host the ACSI MTB XC National Championship, one of the most anticipated events in the Italian mountain biking calendar. Organized by TRB HERSH, the event will kick off with the “1st TRB Trophy – Celac Trasporti,” a day that promises excitement, adrenaline, and top-level sport for all cross-country enthusiasts.

Participants will gather at 7:30 AM at the scenic Lido di Montorfano, the starting point of an event entirely dedicated to the passion for MTB. The race will also count as the fifth round of the Master Cicli Pozzi circuit, adding further prestige to an already highly regarded competition.

The course, designed to highlight the technical features of the discipline, consists of an 8.3 km loop with an elevation gain of 260 meters per lap. From the Lido, riders will climb towards Capiago, tackling single-track sections through the woods, before descending towards Lipomo via five technical sections with jumps, complemented by alternative lines (chicken lines) to ensure accessibility for all skill levels. The route, entirely off-road and immersed in nature, will offer bikers an intense and authentic experience, combining rhythm, technique, and scenic landscapes.

It will be a day full of emotions: some riders will aim to win the national jersey, while others will strive for a podium finish to make this experience unforgettable. In any case, the show is guaranteed.

The TRB Hersh organizing committee will provide full pre- and post-race services, with particular attention to safety along the entire course, also thanks to the presence of numerous volunteers. Showers, a bike wash area, and the possibility to have lunch at a discounted price will be available.

For those traveling by camper, accommodation will be available at Camping Montorfano, about 1 km away, or in the parking area adjacent to the Lido. In addition, starting from Friday, the course will be fully marked to allow course inspections.
